The entrance to the cafeteria at Red Rock High School. This was one of the largest information bulletin boards I saw. Both sides are covered with news, maps, updates, news stories, photos, even cartoons about the Brins Fire.
For those of you who may not know, Sedona has three main public schools:
Sedona Red Rock High School, West Sedona Elementary, and Big Park Elementary.
All three schools were put to use during this fire, serving as evacuation
centers, press conference sites, and in the case of Red Rock High School,
the command center. All three schools made themselves available quickly
and efficiently and were loudly applauded for their help at the first Brins
Fire
community meeting.
