Say hello to Larry Gries (on the left) and Kayla Stock (on the right). They are Arizona firefighters who were being sure the Brins Fire didn't flare up again. Kayla told me that this was her first year working as a firefighter, and she liked it! And it was clear from their dirty clothes, that these two weren't just sitting around talking to inquisitive motorists like me. I shook Kayla's hand (because it was relatively clean and I wanted to thank her for her efforts), but avoided shaking Larry's hand because I didn't want to get my camera covered with soot. They also had a fabulous truck, sparklingly clean and packed with cool gear.
